New HSE Partnership Scholarship Programme

Have you contributed to HSE partnership work as a patient, service user, carer or family member in the last couple of years?

 

Would you like to develop your knowledge and skills in participatory research and help shape future health and social care research and improvement initiatives?

 

The HSE is delighted to launch the new Partnership Scholarship Programme.

 

We are offering:

🎓 7 scholarships for the University of Limerick Professional Diploma in Participatory Health Research (one year, part-time, September 2026 – July 2027)

🎓 A number of introductory scholarships for the first module focused on Public & Patient Involvement in Participatory Health Research (9 weeks, Autumn 2026)

 

We will cover the costs related to tuition, and to travel and accommodation where it is necessary to attend in person.

 

This programme is designed to recognise and invest in patient and service user partners who bring lived and living experience to partnership work across the health service.

 

We particularly welcome expressions of interest from people and communities whose voices are often under-represented in health and social care decision-making.
