The HSE National Partner Panel
What is the HSE National Partner Panel?
The HSE National Partner Panel comprises of people with lived or living experience and representatives of voluntary and community organisations who are interested in participating in partnership roles within the HSE.
The Panel is coordinated by the HSE Patient and Service User Experience (PSUE) Office.
What partnership roles are available?
Partnership roles vary. Some are once-off, some are ongoing. Some are focus group or listening to learn activities, some are advisory panel or steering group activities. Some are specific to a particular condition (e.g. cancer services) or to a particular issue (e.g. digital health or patient experience).
Who can join?
You can join if you:
have lived or living experience of health or social care services
work with an organisation or group supporting persons with lived or living experience
Why join?
National Partner Panel members can:
· share your lived or living experience with health and social care professionals
· help improve the design, delivery or evaluation of services, policy, programme, research or organisational change
· connect with other individuals and organisations who are passionate about partnership
· receive news and updates about partnership activities and events across the HSE
How does it work?
Partnership roles are coordinated by the HSE PSUE Office:
The PSUE Office is approached by various HSE teams to identify partners.
The PSUE Office shares details of partnership roles with members of the Panel.
Panel members express interest in partnership roles that match their experience.
The HSE team contacts the partners who expressed an interest in the role.
Joining the National Partner Panel does not mean taking part in every partnership role shared by the PSUE Office. Members pick roles that match their experience and availability.
What support is provided?
Panel members are provided with:
an induction pack
a designated point of contact within the PSUE Office for support and feedback
a growing library of resources available on the HSE Partnership Hub
Panel members are reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses associated with partnership roles in line with the HSE Reimbursement Policy.
