National Carers Week 2026

National Carers Week 2026 will be held from the 8th to the 14th June.

It marks a significant milestone as it celebrates its 20th year recognising and supporting family carers across Ireland.

Under the heartfelt theme, “Thank You for Caring,” this year’s campaign shines a spotlight on the incredible contribution of over 600,000 carers who provide essential, often unseen support to loved ones and family members every day. A range of events and activities will take place nationwide and online, with improved online tools making it easier to find local events and get involved. The week will also amplify the voices and experiences of carers through engaging social media content, helping to raise awareness, foster understanding, and express genuine gratitude for the vital role carers play in communities across the country.
