Call for Interest: Lived Experience Members on National Partnership Council

14 April 2026

The HSE is inviting expressions of interest for six public partner roles on the new National Partnership Council.

The Council brings together lived and living experience with senior health service leadership to contribute to national strategy, reform, and major programmes across health and social care in Ireland.

The Council has 20 members: 12 public partners (including 6 nationally appointed and 6 regional representatives) and 8 senior staff.

Who can apply?
You should:
• Live in Ireland and be aged 18 or over
• Have lived or living experience of the health and social care system
• Be available to commit to a two-year term
• Be able to contribute approximately 40 hours per year
• Be available for meetings every 6–8 weeks (online and in person in Dublin)

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who may have experience of:
• accessing services or supporting someone who does
• sharing insights into equity, diversity and inclusion
• participating in community, voluntary, governance, or strategic roles

Members participate in an individual capacity and are not appointed as representatives of organisations.

We welcome applications from people whose voices are not always heard in decision-making.
